Update: Okay, as of 3/17/2024 I have unpublished everything I had on Gumroad but will keep my store active in case they ever change their policies back. In the mean time I will do some research to see what a good alternative is and let y'all know when I do that. Thanks to everybody who ever purchased anything off of there. Like I said, hundreds of hours worth of ridiculously fun projects that people seemed to really like. Thank you!

Since America was founded by literal Puritans, Gumroad is now changing its policies that there can be no NSFW media sold through it at all, including fetish illustrations, thanks to the restrictions of their transaction partners that think that sex is icky. Apparently touching your bathing suit area while looking at fictional pretty ladies turning blue is indecent.

Until I am forced to close it down, which will likely be within a day or two (Gumroad was apparently given 24 hour notice by Paypal that they had to change their policies), use code "fuckgumroad" at checkout for 35% off of all of my art packs on there. I will let y'all know when I find a different store to upload things on to, including everything currently on Gumroad. I guess that's where Zelda will end up being rolled to when she's done! 🙃 🫐 I know it's not Gumroad's fault exactly, entities like Paypal and Stripe are backed by banking interests and yadda yadda, but like, come on. Hey everybody. I just changed things up a bit on my Patreon. I am now guaranteeing 2 full color pieces per month for $5, instead of only 1 for a little less. The preview of Yor from Spy x Family I just posted is a preview of the scope and quality of what you can expect if you become a patron of mine. Most months it will likely be a simple before and after set (or something a little more creative here and there), but when the inspiration hits me I am looking forward to doing minicomics over the course of a few months when I can. On the subject of commissions, I am still chipping away at my list from late 2022. My health has made it so it is difficult to work on these as much as I'd like, but if you are on my list, you are guaranteed I will contact you when it is your turn, if you're still interested. Some people asked for a single picture, some people asked for 15, and I want to make sure everybody gets what they want and can walk (or roll) away happy, even if that means having to wait. In the future, I will absolutely be limiting the commissions I take to only a small handful at a time like most artists do, which will prevent any of you having to wait as long as you already have.

Lastly on the topic of the shittiness of my health, I am very likely having spinal surgery sometime in the spring. Don't have a date or even a month yet. Lots of planning, financial and otherwise. I have an extremely hard to find and misunderstood anomaly at the base of my spine (went through literally a half dozen expert surgeons before anybody even knew what they were looking at) that makes something as simple as leaning over to draw very difficult most of the time, which is why my output has been slow and inconsistent and why I haven't been able to work even a simple desk job in nearly 3 years. This surgery will hopefully help me get my life back, but while I'm recovering all projects (Patreon, commissions, Gumroad work) will be paused. But between now and when this happens, I am going to get as much done as I can.

So really, the only good thing about being in so much pain that I couldn't work was realizing how much I loved making art again after a long hiatus. It's the only good thing, but it's a big one. Thanks, Overgrown L6 Bilateral Transverse Process Pseudojoint! You're a real mensch, you piece of shit.

My very good friend made prompts for Inktober this year, and I'm very proud of how they came out. While they are posted first on Patreon, I am now posting the set on Gumroad for a bit more to help recoup the time and energy required to do it all in the first place. If you would rather have access to this set through Patreon for $3 that is still very much an option, I have no plans for taking them down from there or anything like that. But if you'd like to help me justify the time and energy needed to make them in the first place, a purchase through Gumroad is very much appreciated. If this works out well, I'd be happy to do this again next year! It was SO much fun, but also a lot more work than I'm usually able to do in a month!

Here's the project I've been chipping away at since September 2021 or so, between commissions and smaller projects. Finishing this up has helped me get back into the habit of drawing daily, despite my health issues. One is sweet and innocent, one has lost hope, and one is a femme fatale. Spoiler alert though, all three become blueberries.

As for the update, I know there are a lot of people with commission slots from last year that are still waiting. But don't worry, if your name is on my list I *will* get to you. I got swamped immediately and didn't know how to say no, and then my health (which has always been bad, I have a spinal thing) tanked in the spring and I've only recently been able to get back into drawing. I've been doing a single piece per month on Patreon but other than that my workflow has basically stalled. I have an enormous Gumroad project that is nearly done, which was basically finished when this happened (started it in late 2021), so I've just been putting the finishing touches on it lately to get back into the groove of drawing more without injuring myself. Expect it by the end of the month, and then I'm going to go full bore back into commissions. Unless I need surgery (which would knock me out for months but would definitely be helpful in the long run), I intend to get back into commissions full time once I'm able. But by the time I'm done with my current list, I'll only be taking 2-3 at a time instead.
